Five genres. Five different rewrites.
Most tools have one Creative setting, and it writes everything like a slightly overwrought advertisement. A horror sentence and a romance sentence are not the same sentence with different adjectives.
Your sentence
It had been raining all morning and she had gotten used to it by now.
The rain had been falling since morning, and she had stopped noticing it — the way one stops noticing a sound that has been there long enough to become the room.
Same sentence, same meaning, five different instruments. Horror withholds; romance softens; sci-fi reaches for the machinery of its world; fantasy reaches for something older than the house.
“It'll flatten my voice”
That is the right worry, and it is not the one a legal or medical writer has. They are afraid the software will make their document wrong. You are afraid it will make your paragraph competent — which is worse, because competent prose is harder to notice and harder to undo.
A single Creative setting does exactly that. It has one idea of good writing and applies it to everything, so a ghost story and a proposal scene come back sounding like the same author on the same afternoon.
Five calibrated sub-genres is not five labels on one prompt. Each is written around what makes that genre's prose actually work — and none of them will touch your dialogue, because dialogue is voice and voice is the thing you came in with.
Works inside Scrivener
The Windows desktop app reads selected text straight out of Scrivener, Word and Outlook. Highlight a paragraph in your manuscript, pick a genre, and the rewrite happens where you are — no copying a scene out into a separate app and pasting it back, which is where drafts get lost.
