Not a statement of values. A description of where your text goes, who processes it, and what is still there afterwards — specific enough that you can check it against somebody else's published terms rather than taking ours on faith.
ABCcount does not run its own models. Your text is sent to one of two providers depending on which mode you chose, and which one it is changes what happens to it. Most companies do not publish this. It is not complicated, and you are entitled to know.

Does not train on API inputs under its commercial terms. Default retention is deletion within 30 days.
And then it is removed. When the job finishes, your text is deleted from our database and our queue. Not flagged as deleted — removed. That runs on every request, for every mode, on every plan including the free one.
Payments run through Stripe. When you enter a card, the form is Stripe's and the details go to Stripe — they do not pass through our servers, and there is nowhere on our systems where a card number could be stored even by accident.
What we receive back is an identifier, the last four digits, and whether the payment succeeded. That is enough to show you an invoice and not enough to charge anybody.
Nothing changes without you pressing something
Suggestions are offered, never applied. Your document is not edited in place by anything other than you.
Choose the mode and you choose the provider
The table above is not a disclosure you have to live with — it is a choice. Picking a mode rather than using Auto decides where your text goes.
Delete your chat history whenever you like
It is in your browser, not ours. There is a clear-all button on the chat page, and clearing your browser data removes it too.
Close the account and it goes
Email us and the account and everything attached to it is deleted. There is no retention period we hold you to.
We are not certified against any particular standard, and we do not hold a Business Associate Agreement. If your organisation requires either before you can use a third-party tool, ask us — the answer will be a real one rather than a badge on a page.
And nothing above is a reason to paste in something you would not put in an email. It is a description of how carefully this is handled, not a promise that any system anywhere is without risk.
